Resource books are imperative in a musician’s learning journey. I have select resource books that I prefer to use. If you’ve had lessons with a previous teacher and already have some resource books, please let me know what they are and we will likely be able to continue using some (or all) of them. With that said, some of the resources books in my curriculum are mandatory, such as the Piano Theory books.
An important note:
All students learn differently from one another, and I will assign different books for different students. The two big companies I prefer are Alfred and Faber. I have found the Alfred works well with younger students and Faber is better for teenagers and adults. With that said, I have assigned young students Faber before and Alfred for adults. It all depends on my initial assessment of your learning style.
If one of the links is not working, please let me know and I will fix it shortly. You will also find that many sources sell these books besides amazon, but amazon tends to be the quickest. Feel free to use any source of your choosing.
